Flanders Alternate Objective Deck

Introduction

After a lot of games of TI3, a group of dedicated TI3 fans decided to rework the objectives deck with the following goals in mind:

  • Less economic objectives
  • More combat objectives
  • Balance effort/reward
  • More secret objectives


Tips

  • The alternate objective deck (AOD) is best played with the houserule "fighters do not count as ships for objectives"
  • When creating the objective deck, feel free to tweak to your groups preferences. Suggested balance:
    • 1 technology related objective
    • 1-2 economy related objective
    • 1-2 territory related objectives
    • 2 combat related objectives

Stage 1

Technology

  • 1VP - I have technology advances in all 4 colors
  • 1VP - I have more than 1 technology advance in 3 different colors
  • 1VP - I have 3 technology advances of the same color
  • 1VP - I now have 2 non-racial techs that none of my neighbors have

Combat

  • 1VP - I am blockading an opponent's space dock
  • 1VP - I successfully invaded one planet containing at least 1 opposing ground force this turn
  • 1VP - I won a space battle against at least 3 opposing ships this turn
  • 1VP - I destroyed an opposing carrier during combat this game round
  • 1VP - I destroyed an opposing dreadnought during combat this game round

Economy

  • 1VP - I now spend 3 cc's from my command and/or strategy allocation area
  • 1VP - All 3 of my space docks are on the boa
  • 1VP - I now have 6 cc's in my fleet supply areard
  • 1VP - I now have 3 dreadnoughts on the board
  • 1VP - I now scuttle 10 resources worth of units

Territory

  • 1VP - I control planets to have at least 3 technology specialties (red, green, blue)
  • 1VP - I have controlled mecatol rex the entire strategy phase and action phase of this round
  • 1VP - I control 5 planets outside my home system
  • 1VP - I control planets with a total influence greater than the player to my immediate right, and greater than the player to my immediate left
  • 1VP - I now control a red-bordered system
  • 1VP - I control a system containing an alpha-wormhole, and another system containing a beta-wormhole
  • 1VP - I now control Mallice

Stage 2

  • WIN - I have at least 4 ships each in two opponent's home systems
  • 2VP - I succesfully invaded 2 planets, each containing at least 1 opposing ground force, this turn
  • WIN - I control 18 planets outside my home system
  • 2VP - I now have at least 9 techs
  • WIN - I control all the planets in an opponent's home system
  • 2VP - I now spend 20 influence or 20 resources
  • 2VP - I control the Mecatol Rex system and at least 3 systems adjacent to it
  • 2VP - I now spend 6 cc's from my command and/or strategy allocation areas
  • 2VP - I now have 5 techs of the same color
  • 2VP - I won 2 space battles this turn, each in different systems and against at least 3 opposing ships
  • 3VP - I control the Mecatol Rex system and all systems adjacent to it
  • 2VP - I control at least 10 planets outside my home system
  • 3VP - I control at least 11 planets outside my home system
  • 2VP - I destroyed an opponent's space dock at the end of combat this turn
  • 3VP - I control planets with influence greather than the planets of my neighbours combined (the players sitting left and right of you at the beginning of the game)
  • 2VP - I now control Mallice, Lodor and Quann
  • 2VP - I destroyed 10 opposing fighters in combat this game round
  • 2VP - I am blockading an opponent's home system
  • 2VP - I now control 6 systems outside my home system
  • 2VP - I destroyed 10 resources worth of opposing units this game round
  • 2VP - I now scuttle a Dreadnought, Cruiser, Destroyer, Mechanized Unit, Fighter, Carrier, Ground Force and Space Dock in 1 system
  • 2VP - I now control 2 systems adjacent to different opponent's home systems
  • 2VP - I took control of all planets in 3 systems this turn
  • 2VP - I now control a system at least 3 tiles away from my home system

Secret

  • 2VP - I now control Mecatol Rex, I have a space dock there and at least 8 non-fighter ships in the system
  • 2VP - I now control at least 6 planets with a tech specialty (yellow tech specialty does not count)
  • 2VP - I now control Mecatol Rex, I have a space dock and 6 ground forces
  • 2VP - I control all the planets in an opponent's home system
  • 2VP - I now control Mecatol Rex, I have a space dock there and 4 Dreadnoughts
  • 2VP - This turn, I took control of my neighbour's planet that held his last space dock on the board
  • 2VP - I now control at least 4 planets with the same tech specialty
  • 2VP - I now control Mecatol Rex, I have a space dock there and all 5 of my Dreadnoughts are on the board
  • 2VP - I control 8 systems outside my home system
  • 2VP - I have a non-fighter ship in every system with a natural wormhole (Lodor, Quann and 2 printed A & B wormholes)
  • 2VP - I destroyed space docks controlled by 2 different players this turn
  • 2VP - I now control 4 systems adjacent to Mecatol Rex (Mecatol Rex does not count, if there are no 4 controllable systems next to Mecatol Rex when you receive this card, reveal it and draw a new one)
  • 2VP - I destroyed ships of 4 different opponents this game round (if there are less then 4 opponent's when you receive this card, reveal it and draw a new one)
  • 2VP - I now control two fleets of at least 6 ships each, in or adjacent to two opponent's home systems
