Boulder House Rules 2 has concluded. Congratulations to mbouzada for winning as the Jol-Nar!

GM: SWC_Seren

Game started (first strategy phase): 26 March 2014
Game finished: 10 July 2014

Final ranking/VPs scored
1. Jol-Nar (mbouzada) - 13 VPs
2. Creuss (banzailizard) - 9 VPs
3. N'orr (rorshocker) - 8 VPs (greater number of unused CCs, as in reinforcements)
4. L1z1x (StrangeTim) - 8 VPs
5. Letnev (Saltlake) - 6 VPs
6. Yin (snowleo) - 5 VPs

StrangeTim replaced tolenmar very early on; I believe the game should count for StrangeTim.

Did a quick update of the rankings.
mbouzada enters them at 2nd place, banzailizard at 9th. That's a lot of red arrows.
Jol-Nar strengthen their 1st place among the race.

I'll archive the game tomorrow or on the weekend.

Statistics updated.

banzailizard moves up another two places. Seren even gains four.

I also generated a ranking based only on the BHR games. Only two players have the required number games, and banzailizard has a good lead because of one win and two second places.

Deja Q has finally ended, after 1 year, 1 month, and 5 days, temporarily taking on the ignoble designation as "longest game ever to complete" (The End of Time is already longer than that, but has not completed yet).

This was an 8 player RAW / SAW game using the following options:

Custodians of Mecatol Rex
Flagships
Leaders
Racial Technologies
Tactical Retreats
Wormhole Nexus
Mechanized Units
Preliminary Objectives
Facilities
Shock Troops
Final Frontier
Artifacts
Mercenaries
Representatives
Red-Tape Bureaucracy

Final Standings:
1 - Muaat (mayo438) 9VP (precursor space station)
2 - L1z1x (zhetiny) 8VP
3 - Jol-Nar (arandor) 5VP (more objectives)
4 - Sol (scream / kristobal) 5VP
5 - N'Orr 4VP (mbouzada/Da_Brick/lacey) (more objectives)
6 - Saar (baloo3) 4VP
7 - Arborec (superflypimp) 3VP (more objectives)
8 - Xxcha (cleofatra) 3VP

Note: Kristobal took over in the final round of the game (Thank You!!!), so the finish should not apply to his rankings.
Lacey took over for N'Orr in Round 3(??), so the rankings should apply unless it was previously established that they would not.

W2 was 1 year, 1 month, and 19 days, though I'm sure you're glad its over either way.

Ah, you are correct. I miscalculated :) That makes me feel slightly better...

The game is over when someone reaches victory condition. That much is clear.

But what do you guys count as the start of the game? Strategy Phase Round 1 start?
Or as soon as the forum is set up and pre-game starts (galaxy creation / race selection ...)

Good question. In my view, all the rest is setup and the start of the strategy phase is the official start of the game.

But I'm not so sure that is consistent. In games with bidding for races, HS, SPEAKER, etc., I could see where that would be considered a start of the game as well. I've been trying to capture when bidding started and when the first strategy phase started.

I was tracking from the start of the forum. The start and end of the game are not meaningful metrics, so I don't think that it has to be consistent. Generally speaking, I don't think that is even reported in this thread. although it found itself into the completed games wiki entry.
